ISIS Claims Responsibility For Orlando Shooting – The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the shooting of a gay club in Orlando which left over 50 people dead.

“The armed attack that targeted a gay night club in the city of Orlando in the American state of Florida which left over 100 people dead or injured was carried out by an Islamic State fighter,” a Syrian news agency named Amaq news reported. Amaq news is known to have close ties with the terrorist group.
Florida Senator Bill Nelson refused to confirm the reports, saying: “That has not been confirmed. We’ll have to see what those connections are once we get the details.”
29-year old Omar Marteen, who carried out the shooting, had reportedly pledged allegiance to the Islamic State according to the FBI. His father however denied that the shooting was religion-motivated, and speculated that it may have risen from his hate for homosexuals.
